Adagio Links | Products Can I restore an order and change the customer and pricing at the same time?
Sure! Documents are restored from the History function, by selecting the document in the list and clicking the Restore button.
When you do this, you're given a few options for restoring the document: The customer can be easily changed by clicking the Finder button to the left of the Customer field and selecting a different customer. When the new customer is selected, you can also choose a ship to address for them, if you've got shipping addresses on file for the new customer. Then, you'll notice a few additional options. The first affects the pricing concern. If you're restoring an order with the exact same items that another customer is ordering, but the pricing has changed since the original order, no problem! Just make sure the "Update item information and pricing" checkbox is turned on and all pricing on the order becomes current. The next option lets you use the same quantities as on the original order; or, if the items being ordered are the same but the quantities are different, you can leave that checkbox off and the quantities will all be set to zero. The final option also affects quantity. It lets you set the quantity shipped to the quantity ordered, which would make completing the order, posting it, and posting the related invoice almost a once step process. All you'd have to do in that case is confirm the customer's discount amount and the document totals before click OK to post the new order. Or, if you've got to backorder some quantities, you can leave this option off instead and set the quantity shipped and quantity backordered values individually for each item on the order. You can see that Adagio OrderEntry offers some convenient flexibility in restoring old documents. |
