Adagio Links | Products What are the advantages to Adagio OrderEntry's specification designer?
As we showed you in the sample order confirmation in the previous step of this tour, you can create some very professional and attractive document specifications quite easily, through Adagio OrderEntry's excellent Order Designer.
One of the nicest features of the Order Designer is the fact that it is a WYSIWYG designer: that is, "What You See (in the Designer window, when creating the specification) Is What You Get". It makes layout simple and straightforward. For example, step #3 of this tour showed you a sample order confirmation. The specification for that same order confirmation is shown here. As you can see, the specification looks very much like the order confirmation itself! The Order Designer also has an excellent multi-copy function which allows you to create customer copies, accounting copies and other versions of documents all from one specification, very easily. For each field or object, you can choose which copies it will appear on in the printed version: Then you can either view all fields and objects that appear on all specifications at once, or you can view exactly what will print on each individual copy of the printed version. For example, if you're working on the accounting copy, which you've designated as copy #2, for example, simply selecting Copy 2 from the View menu will show you exactly what will appear on the accounting copy. The ability to separate out the copies from each other makes working with each one very easy. ![]() The Order Designer makes it easy to create wonderful, professional documents, just like the Order Confirmation shown in step #3 of the tour! |
