Yes, an item inquiry function that includes cost and sales data is available from the Inquiries menu. This is similar to the item inquiry function discussed in the previous step of the visual tour, but includes the cost and sales data as well.

Why are there two item inquiry options, one without the cost and sales data and one with it? This is part of Adagio's security functionality, to prevent users who shouldn't be viewing cost and sales data from seeing that information, and yet still having access to the excellent item inquiry tool for other purposes.

An item inquiry can be carried out just as described in the previous step of this tour, except that in this case, the inquiry window has more tabs to provide the extra cost and sales information you want. For example, the Costing tab is included here:

In addition to the tabs reviewed in the previous step of the tour, there are a few useful tabs that disclose cost and sales data:

The Costing tab (shown above) gives details on costing information for the item, such as costing unit, standard cost, recent cost, and costing method.

The Alt Prices/Cost tab shows pricing and costing information for the alternate price list associated with this item.

The Reorder Data tab lists information like minimum and maximum stocking levels, reorder quantities, and projected sales.

The Sales History tab lists past sales data for the item, including quantities sold, sales amounts, and actual costs for each financial period.

And as we mentioned, if you wish to restrict some users from seeing this type of data, you can easily do so using Adagio's security function!
