Enhancements and revisions in Adagio Lanpak 9.0A (2007.11.01)

Compatible with Adagio Ledger 9.0A and all future 9.0A versions of other Adagio modules.

Checks for installation of duplicate Lanpaks. With earlier versions of Lanpak it was possible for the install to be confused when 2 Lanpaks of the same size were installed and use the same serial number for both. This caused problems when upgrading. Lanpak now checks for duplicate serial numbers when you start up an Adagio module. If this has happened, Lanpak will display the message: "Lanpak 9.0A (071101) with serial number nnnnn is not correctly installed". Contact Softrak Customer Service if this occurs and the resulting number of licenses is incorrect. You may have to reinstall and reregister your Lanpak.

The System Check Utility (Chksys.exe) has a Lanpaks Status button. It will show the Lanpaks installed, including the version and serial number of each.

Enhancements and revisions in earlier versions of Adagio Lanpak

Compatible with Windows® VistaT.

Compatible with Adagio 8.1A modules released for Vista compatibility. Adagio 8.1A modules require Lanpak version 8.1A or higher.

Lanpak registration forms now show Softrak's 800 fax number.

A selective uninstall program is now available in addition to the standard uninstall program. The selective uninstall shows the individual Lanpaks you have installed, their serial number, number of licenses and version. The individual Lanpaks can be selected to be uninstalled. The standard uninstall program uninstalls ALL Lanpaks along with your company information used for licensing your Lanpaks. The purpose of the selective uninstall is to allow you uninstall a Client NFR Lanpak if one was installed by mistake.

New version of the Adagio Data Source (ADS) is installed. Enhancements and revisions in ADS are on-going. Any new version of ADS will also be installed by the latest versions of Adagio modules, upgrades and Service Packs.

Refer to the Readme help file for details of enhancements and revisions in earlier versions.

Installing

To install Adagio Lanpak you need the serial number and install code from the Product Label that came with your CD.

If you are installing an upgrade, you need the serial number and install code that came with your upgrade. A previous version of Adagio Lanpak should already be installed on your computer before installing the upgrade. If a previous version is not already installed, you can still install the upgrade. After entering the upgrade serial number and install code, you will also have to enter the serial number and install code from your previous version.

To install Adagio Lanpak, insert the CD in the drive. If the install program does not start automatically, run ADAGIO.EXE from the root of the CD. Or, if Lanpak was downloaded, run the program file you downloaded. Once the install program is running you can click the View button for detailed instructions.

If Adagio is installed on a network, you must install the Lanpak to the network drive where the Adagio applications are installed.

If you have installed a Client NFR (Not for Resale) version of Adagio Lanpak, you must uninstall it before installing a full product version. Failure to do so will result a message saying you are running a NFR version, even if a full product version of the Lanpak is installed and licensed. If a full product version is already installed use the selective uninstall program to un-install just the NFR version.

Client NFR Lanpaks must not be installed if a full product version of Lanpak is already installed or the full Lanpak will expire.
