Windows 98 is no longer a supported platform for Adagio. This means that no quality assurance is performed in this environment, and our ability to isolate issues that might surface is limited. We will attempt to address problems that may be encountered, but no guarantee of ongoing support is given.

Most Adagio products will run on Windows 98 SE. While the Windows 98 operating system was released several years ago, Softrak will attempt to maintain compatibility whenever possible. Future releases of Adagio may not be compatible with Windows 98.

Windows 98 issues are issues that cannot be duplicated on Windows 2000 or XP. Softrak will make reasonable efforts to try and resolve issues of this nature. New versions of the tools we use to develop Adagio may not continue to provide support for Windows 98 environments. We will not normally delay moving to newer technology for the sake of maintaining compatibility with older versions of the OS or application software with which Adagio integrates, such as Microsoft Office.

Some sites may experience problems running Adagio GridView or the Financial Reporter in Adagio Ledger or Adagio FX under Windows 98, therefore we are removing compatibility with 98 for these products from our compatibility chart. GridView and the Financial Reporters will not work and are not supported when the data is on a Windows 98 machine using the FAT file system accessed over a network from a non-Windows 98 machine. This can occur in peer-to-peer environments.
