Differences from ACCPAC® Plus Job Costing
Expanded Codes:
 Job, Phase, Categories can be up to 6 characters in length.
Expanded Cost Types:
Cost types have been expanded to 6 characters.
Archived Jobs:
Any job can be archived and restored from archive.
Applicable reports will show an additional drop down choice for reporting on archived jobs.
All change orders, details and summaries are maintained.
Archive jobs can be deleted. When a job is deleted the user is given an option to archive it first. Archival is controlled by a company profile option.
Report Groups:
Report groups have been added to the job record.
Add/Modify/Delete Report Groups is available.
Report group range has been added to job reports, so that you can group jobs for reporting.
Units of Measure:
Units of measure has been added.
Add/Modify/Delete Units of Measure is available.
This table is populated during data conversion from existing jobs/phases/categories.
The user has the option to verify on units.
Notes:
Notes have been added to jobs, phases, categories, customers and managers.
These notes are maintained through to history.
Expanded customer and manager records:
The customer and manager records have been expanded to include a full address, telephone, fax and contact.
If Adagio Receivables is linked, the user can edit the A/R customer record from Adagio JC.
Security Groups:
As in other Adagio products, Adagio JC supports user groups with menu level security and control over posting.
Backup:
As in other Adagio products, Adagio JC supports the backup of the database to Zip files.
Import, Export:
Import and export of jobs, phases, categories, and billing & payment batches.
Incrementing Job Numbers:
Option to auto increment job number.
The job number format can also contain a prefix and/or postfix. For example PR123A, where 123 is incremented.
The next job number is also editable.
Configurable G/L references and descriptions:
The user has a choice on the content of the G/L reference and description fields.
They can choose from the job, phase, category, reference, description, customer and manager.
Report Formatting:
The user has a number of report options, including group trees, date and time format, font, margins and printer.
Report Export:
You can export reports to various formats, including PDF and MS Word.
You can email the exported report through a MAPI interface to MS Outlook and other email clients.
Custom Reports:
Users of Crystal Reports for Adagio can add custom reports to the menu.
Retainage:
Retainage documents are kept on file for lookup when a retainage invoice is created.
The amount due is defaulted on the retainage invoice.
Payroll Interface:
Both Paymate from AK Micro and PayDirt Payroll from Qlab will support Adagio JobCost.
Change Order Statuses:
The user can now work with 9 statuses.
The 'Pending' description can be modified and there are 8 more user definable statuses.
(The 'Approved' status is fixed and cannot be changed.)
